Floor & Road Sawing Services in Qatar
Aseel Constructions offers precision floor and road sawing in Qatar for concrete slabs, asphalt surfaces, and composite pavements across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Our flat sawing equipment cuts clean, straight lines up to 500mm deep for expansion joints, utility trenches, road repair boundaries, and slab modifications. Since 2016, we have completed floor sawing and road cutting projects for highways, parking structures, warehouse floors, and residential developments throughout Doha and Qatar. Our fleet includes walk-behind saws for precision interior work and high-powered ride-on saws for large-scale road and pavement cutting. Every job is executed with proper wet cutting techniques and slurry management to protect the surrounding environment. Whether you need control joints in a freshly poured slab or precise trenches for utility installation, our experienced operators deliver accurate, efficient results that meet your project timeline and specifications.
How Floor & Road Sawing Works
Site Survey & Marking
Our team inspects the surface, identifies any subsurface utilities or reinforcement, and marks precise cut lines using chalk lines or laser guides.
Equipment Selection
Based on the material type, required depth, and project scale, we select the appropriate saw - walk-behind for precision work or ride-on for high-volume cutting.
Wet Diamond Cutting
The diamond blade engages the surface with continuous water flow for cooling and dust suppression. The operator guides the saw along the marked lines at controlled speed and depth.
Slurry Management & Cleanup
Cutting slurry is captured and contained using vacuum recovery systems. The work area is cleaned, and all waste is disposed of in compliance with environmental regulations.
Common Applications
Expansion Joint Cutting
Precise control joints and expansion joints in newly poured concrete slabs to manage cracking and thermal movement in floors and pavements.
Utility Trenches
Straight, clean-edged trenches in concrete and asphalt for installing water, gas, electrical, and telecommunications services.
Road Repair Cuts
Neat boundary cuts to define repair patches in roads and highways, ensuring clean edges for quality asphalt or concrete patching.
Floor Removal Sections
Cutting floor slabs into manageable sections for removal during renovation, basement excavation, or foundation modification work.
Slab Modification
Precision cuts for modifying existing floor slabs, creating openings for new equipment foundations, pits, or drainage channels.
Cable & Pipe Trenching
Narrow, precise trenches cut into concrete floors for routing electrical cables, data lines, plumbing, and fire suppression piping.

Safety & Compliance
Floor and road sawing operations by Aseel Constructions comply with Qatar's road safety and construction site regulations. Our operators wear full PPE including high-visibility clothing for road work, and all operations are supported by proper traffic management plans when working on public roads. We conduct thorough risk assessments before every project, use utility detection methods to avoid subsurface services, and implement slurry containment to prevent environmental contamination. Our equipment is regularly inspected and maintained to ensure safe, reliable operation in all conditions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Concrete is harder and more abrasive on the diamond matrix, so you run slower with a blade rated for the concrete's compressive strength and rebar density. Asphalt is softer and stickier - especially in Qatar's summer heat when surface temperatures exceed 60 degrees Celsius. At that temperature, asphalt gets gummy, loads the segment differently, and can close kerf if you go too slow.
We carry separate blade stocks for each material and check conditions before setting blade speed and water flow.
Our saws reach up to 500mm depth in a single pass using large-diameter blades. Most commercial floor slabs in Qatar run 150mm to 250mm, so 500mm capacity covers nearly all standard applications without multiple passes.
For cuts into thick raft foundations, we combine flat sawing with core drilling at the start and end to give the blade a clean run. Depth requirements are confirmed on-site before pricing.
Walk-behind saws get within 20 to 30mm of a wall, column base, or existing joint. For cuts that need to terminate at a wall or reach into a corner, we finish with a core drill or hand saw to complete the line without overcutting.
We don't drive saws past the marked line to save time. Overcuts into adjacent panels create crack initiation points that show up months later in the finished floor.
At 50mm depth in standard C30 concrete, a walk-behind saw covers 10 to 15 linear meters per hour. A 5000m2 warehouse with 6m control joint spacing works out to roughly 3000 linear meters. That's a significant program.
We address it with multiple saws running in parallel, working around freshly poured bays on phased pours. Give us the floor layout and pour schedule and we'll plan the joint cutting to stay ahead of the concrete contractor.
